As the busy holiday season approaches, it's important to make fitness and health an important part of your schedule. Here are some easy and practical ways to be more health-conscious during the holidays.
Never skip breakfast, it is the most important meal of the day. Research shows that those who skip breakfast have a greater chance of being overweight or obese.
Always eat a protein filled snack before a Christmas dinner party. Example- 12 almonds or 1 cup of yogurt or low-fat cottage cheese.
So no to the high calorie holiday punch, juice or soda.
Take time to exercise, zumba would be great or any kind of interval training.
Get plenty of sleep, when you are sleep-deprived you tend to eat more.
